It was the discovery of an old American flag that flew over city hall during World War II that prompted a group of local veterans to embark on a 15-year journey to preserve the history of Middletown’s military servicemen and women.
Now, after years of planning and months of sorting through tens of thousands of donated items, the Greater Middletown Military Museum is preparing for opening day on April 13.
