U. of New Hampshire Institute on Disabilities Gets $2.7M Grant

DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire has been awarded a five-year, $2.7 million grant to support the independence, productivity and quality of individuals with disabilities.

The funding for the university’s Institute on Disability comes from the federal Administration for Community Living. It will be used for research, for training future health and human service professionals and for community-based training for professionals, families and self-advocates.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter announced the grant. She says it will help UNH continue to support and empower people with disabilities.
