Dr. James L. Moore III, vice provost for diversity and inclusion and chief diversity officer at The Ohio State University (OSU), was named the recipient of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities’ (APLU) 2019 Commission on Access, Diversity and Excellence Distinguished Service Award.
Moore also serves as the EHE Distinguished Professor of Urban Education in the College of Education and Human Ecology and inaugural executive director of the Todd Anthony Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male.
Throughout his career, Moore has managed college access programs, scholarships and worked to provide institutional resources to increase opportunities within higher education.
