Appreciating the Struggles

Appreciating the Struggles

This sounds like an excellent project (see “The Albany Movement,” Nov. 16) to motivate our students and others to develop an interest and appreciation for the struggles that people of color, especially Black people, endured during the Civil Rights period. Further, participating students will have the opportunity to understand that a mass movement is not orchestrated by one individual.
