Diverse reported on Tuesday that Howard University and the Thurgood Marshall Fund also received a donation from Scott.

The other recipients are Hampton University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Tuskegee University and Xavier University of Louisiana.

Xavier, Morehouse and Tuskegee said they received $20 million each. Xavier and Tuskeegee said it is the largest single gift they have ever received. Hampton didn’t disclose the amount of the gift but said in a statement that Scott’s donation is the largest single gift in the school’s history. And Howard said yesterday it received a “generous eight-figure gift,” also the largest gift it has received from a single donor.

Scott is the former wife of Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos. Her gifts to the HBCUs and college funds are part of the nearly $1.7 billion she has donated to more than 100 nonprofits in the past year.
