Dr. Michelle Robinson has become senior vice provost for faculty affairs at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) as of Feb. 1.
Robinson has been in multiple roles at UAB, including interim dean of the UAB School of Education; associate professor and associate dean for Health Information and Business Systems; diversity and equity officer, and interim dean of the School of Dentistry; and faculty relations fellow for the Office of the Provost.
“Dr. Robinson is a proven leader and collaborator with expansive institutional knowledge and extensive experience,” said Dr. Pam Benoit, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. “She has a keen ability to understand and resolve faculty and academic issues.”
Robinson holds a Master of Arts in Medical Informatics from Columbia University; a Doctor of Dental Medicine in Dentistry from Rutgers University, Newark; and a bachelor's degree in biology from Adelphi University.
