Alcorn State University
received $272,053.02 from the Tom Joyner Foundation. The funds will go toward scholarships for ASU students. The university was featured during the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” in February.

The American Council on Education
has received a $100,000 grant from the Metropolitan Life Foundation to help underwrite the outreach activities associated with the “College is Possible” campaign, a national initiative to educate the public and policy makers about issues related to college affordability and financing higher education.
