Previously, he held the same directorship in the College of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Carter earned a bachelor’s from San Diego State University and a master’s from Vanderbilt University.

Previously, she was director of the McNair Scholars Program at California State University, San Bernardino. Christian earned a bachelor’s from Seton Hall University, a master’s from California State University, San Bernardino and a doctorate from Claremont Graduate University.|
|Dr. William Gregory Sawyer has been named vice president for student affairs at California State University-Channel Islands. He earned a bachelor’s from Mount Union College, a master’s from Eastern New Mexico University and a doctorate from the University of North Texas.|
|Dr. Gary Sayed has been named the new dean of the College of Allied Health at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. Sayed earned a bachelor’s from the University of the Incarnate Word in Texas, a master’s from the University of Iowa, and a doctorate from the Medical College of Ohio.|
|Kim A. Williams has been named the director of institutional advancement at Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus. Previously, Williams was a director and staff attorney at The Miracle Makers Inc., a children and family services agency. She earned a bachelor’s from John Jay College and a law degree from Rutgers University School of Law.|
