Dr. Evans Edgar Crawford Jr., has been named dean of the Howard University School of Divinity. Previously, he taught poetics and proclamation in the Divinity School as professor emeritus of social ethics. Crawford received bachelor’s degrees from Huston College and Boston University School of Theology. He also received a doctorate from Boston University School of Theology.
|Dr. Linda Nixon Hudson is the new assistant dean of the Graduate School at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. Previously she was director of the Graduate Feeder Scholars Program at Florida A&M University. Hudson earned a bachelor’s, a master’s and a doctorate all from Florida A&M University.|
|Dr. Lola Jackson has been named coordinator of the Master of School Administration degree program at North Carolina A&T State University. She earned a bachelor’s from Howard University, a master’s from Wayne State and a doctorate from Michigan State University.|
|Dr. Allen L. Sessoms has been named the president of Delaware State University in Wilmington effective July 1. He is a former president of Queens College in New York. Sessoms holds a bachelor’s from Union College, a master’s from the University of Washington and a doctorate from Yale University.|
|Dr. Michael A. Turner has been appointed division chair of the Division of Education, Humanities and Fine Arts at Barber-Scotia College (N.C.) He earned a bachelor’s from Johnson C. Smith University, a master’s from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, an educational specialist degree from Winthrop University and a doctorate also from UNC-Charlotte.|
|Dr. Lonnie R. Williams has been named vice chancellor for student affairs at Arkansas State University. Previously, Williams was assistant vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Arkansas. Williams received a bachelor’s, a master’s and a doctorate all from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.|
