Warren R. Anderson has been appointed director of the R. Benjamin Wiley Partnership Program for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Most recently, he served as director of student activities at Chestnut Hill College. Anderson holds a bachelor’s from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jeffrey L. Brudney has been named the Albert A. Levin Chair of Urban Studies and Public Service at Cleveland State University, effective January 2007. He is currently a professor at the University of Georgia. Brudney earned a bachelor’s from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s and doctorate from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Lynne Cook has been named dean of the College of Education at California State University-Dominguez Hills. She was most recently a professor of special education at CSU-Northridge. Cook earned a bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Gary Eith has been named dean of business technology at Lakeland Community College (Ohio). He had served as interim dean for the past year and is the former dean of community learning at Lakeland. Eith earned a bachelor’s from Northern Kentucky University, a master’s from the University of Cincinnati and a doctorate from Columbia University.
Dr. Michelle D. Gilliard has been appointed vice president for programs at the Foundation for Independent Higher Education. She was most recently a consultant for MG Associates. Gilliard earned a bachelor’s from the University of Dayton, a master’s from Brown University and a doctorate from the University of Michigan.
Victoria L. Gorrell has been appointed vice president for college advancement at Kalamazoo College (Mich.) She is currently the vice president for university relations and executive director of the Weber State Foundation at Weber State University. Gorrell holds a bachelor’s from Allegheny College and a master’s from The Ohio State University.
Rob Henry has been named executive director of emerging constituencies at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. He was most recently the director of individual giving at Yale University. Henry earned a bachelor’s from Murray State University and a master’s from Eastern Michigan University.
Rosemary Kilkenny has been named vice president for institutional diversity and equity at Georgetown University (D.C.). She was most recently special assistant to the president for affirmative action programs. Kilkenny earned her bacholor’s and masters from Kent State University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Art King has been named assistant vice president of student affairs for diversity at Towson University (Md.). He was most recently director of diversity programs and services at George Mason University. King earned a bachelor’s and master’ from Georgia Southern University.
Dr. Yvette Underdue Murph has been appointed vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She earned a certificate of undergraduate studies and a master’s from Cambridge College and a doctorate from the University of LaVerne.
Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice is the new senior vice president for health affairs and dean of the school of medicine at Meharry Medical College (Tenn.). She earned her bachelor’s from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a medical degree from Harvard University Medical School.
Dr. G. Pritchy Smith has joined the faculty at Seattle University as the William Allen Endowed Chair and Distinguished Professor of Education. He earned a bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master’s and doctorate from the University of North Texas.
