CLAIRE-STERKCLAIRE E. STERK has been named president of Emory University, effective September 1. She is provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Emory. Sterk earned degrees from Free University, a doctorate from Erasmus University and a doctorate from the University of Utrecht, all in the Netherlands.
