Becerra 6 28 18 IRMA BECERRA has been selected as president of Marymount University, effective July 1. She currently serves as the provost and chief academic officer at St. Thomas University. Bacerra earned both bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Miami and was the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in engineering at Florida International University.
