LAWRENCE Lawrence BoboD. BOBO has been named dean of social sciences at Harvard University. He currently serves as the W.E.B. Du Bois Professor of the Social Sciences and chair of the Department of African-American Studies at the university. Bobo received a bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and a master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan.
