DEMARÉE MICHELAU has been appointed the first female president of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) in Colorado. She currently serves as vice president of policy analysis and research at WICHE. Michelau earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Northern Illinois University and a master’s and Ph.D. degrees from University of Colorado at Boulder.
