STEPHEN HAYES has been appointed director of the choir at Philander Smith College. Prior to his new role, he led the choir at Wiley College. Hayes earned a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, a master’s in music composition from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Doctor of Fine Arts from Alabama State University.
