SURESH GARIMELLA has been named president of the University of Vermont. He currently serves as executive vice president for research and partnerships at Purdue University. Garimella received a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, a master’s degree from The Ohio State University and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
