MARLENE L. GARCIA has been named executive director of the California Student Aid Commission. Prior to her new role, she was manager of Apple Inc.’s Education Strategic Initiatives Group. Garcia received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature from UCLA and a master’s degree in public policy from Claremont Graduate School.
