Monique AkassiMONIQUE L. AKASSI has been named assistant to the president and professor of English at Talladega College. She previously served as associate provost for faculty at Edward Waters College. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English & comparative literature from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s degree in English composition and rhetoric from Wright State University, and a doctorate in English composition and rhetoric from Morgan State University.
