ALEXANDRA HANLON has been named director of the Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science at the Virginia Tech Carilion Health Sciences Campus in Roanoke. She was previously a research professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Hanlon holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematical statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in statistics from the University of California, Irvine and a Ph.D. in statistics from Temple
University.
