Tonya Butler TONYA BUTLER has been appointed the first woman and African American chair of the Music Business/Management Department at Berklee College of Music. Currently assistant chair for the department, Butler holds a master’s in entertainment and media law from Southwestern University School of Law/Fitzwilliam College in England and a juris doctorate from California Western School of Law.
