Lance Collins LANCE COLLINS has been appointed the inaugural vice president and executive director of Virginia Tech’s new Innovation Campus in Alexandria, Virginia. Currently the Joseph Silbert Dean of Engineering at Cornell University, Collins holds a bachelor’s from Princeton University as well as a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
