LAURA PERNA has been named vice provost for faculty at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Also the GSE Centennial Presidential Professor at the school and chair of the Higher Education Division and executive director of the Alliance for Higher Education and Democracy, Perna holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and economics from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a master of public policy degree and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
