JOAQUÍN MARTÍNEZ has been appointed provost and vice president of instruction at the Community College of Baltimore County. Having served in various leadership positions at Miami Dade College (MDC) in Florida, Martinez holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and modern languages from Middlebury College; a master’s in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and administration and supervision from Nova Southeastern University; and a Ph.D. in higher education leadership and research methodology from Florida Atlantic University.
