MERLENE AITKEN-SMITH has been named senior associate athletics director/senior woman administrator at Grambling State University in Louisiana. She is currently senior associate athletic director for compliance, student services/senior woman administrator, and Title IX investigator at Clayton State University. Aitken-Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a juris doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Law.
