CHING-YAO LAI has been named assistant professor of geosciences at Princeton University. Recently a Lamont Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University in New York, Lai holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Princeton.
