Franklin Pierce College now is Franklin Pierce University.
The name changed officially on Sunday.
Franklin Pierce enrolls 3,200 students at its residential, undergraduate campus in Rindge and at five satellite campuses in Concord, Keene, Lebanon, Manchester and Portsmouth.
Franklin Pierce was founded in 1962 with nine faculty and administrators and 97 students.
