Howard, Va. Tech Join U.S. Intelligence Program

Howard University and Virginia Tech have joined 19 other colleges and universities in developing national security studies that support critical skills needed by intelligence agencies.  According to The Washington Post, the $2.5 million academic program, which is funded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, is designed to teach undergraduates skills that the nation’s intelligence agencies need. Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair announced the grant last week at the national annual conference of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C.
