CINCINNATI — The parents of three boys killed with their grandmother in a house fire the morning after Christmas have received a gift of hundreds of family photos now restored after they were damaged in the southwest Ohio blaze.
Art conservation graduate students at the University of Delaware worked for weeks to restore about 260 photos charred by the fire and damaged by water. A university professor and a family friend delivered the photos Friday to the family in their hometown of Washington Court House.
The fire killed 60-year-old Terry Harris, 14-year-old Kenyon, 11-year-old Broderick and 9-year-old Braylon. Police say the boys wanted to spend Christmas night with their grandmother so she wouldn’t be alone.
The state fire marshal’s office said that the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
