FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield University says it is looking into allegations that some of its students held a culturally insensitive party over the weekend.
University officials said in a statement Monday they are working with students and diversity officers to investigate Saturday’s party.
A spokeswoman for the school says students must adhere to the school’s code of conduct even though the party was at an off-campus residence.
School officials say they support programs that deepen students’ cultural sensitivity and impress upon all of them that they are expected to be exemplary in their dealings with one another.
Fairfield University, located in Fairfield, Connecticut, is a Jesuit, Catholic university that was founded in 1942.
