College of Santa Fe’s interim president gets the job fulltime

SANTA FE

Stuart Kirk, interim president of the College of Santa Fe since mid-May, will serve as the school’s full-time president.

The college announced the appointment Monday.

Kirk was appointed to the post on an interim basis after the resignation of Mark Lombardi, who left the president’s job to take the same position with Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo.

Kirk, who has lived in Santa Fe since 1992, served on the college’s board of trustees prior to being named interim president.

Kirk, who has been an associate professor of economics at the U.S. Air Force Academy and the University of Colorado, has a bachelor’s degree in business and social science from the University of Northern Colorado and master’s and doctoral degrees from Claremont Graduate University.
