DOVER Del.
State Rep. Hazel Plant is urging the governor to request the resignation of the entire board of trustees at Delaware State University.
Plant also wants the resignation of DSU President Allen Sessoms.
Plant’s letter to Gov. Ruth Ann Minner was prompted by a report by Greenwood & Associates, the search firm that is helping the university hire a new provost. The report described the DSU work environment as “toxic,” and said job candidates changed their mind about working there after hearing from colleagues.
Plant says the university has become a national embarrassment.
A Minner spokeswoman says the governor has received the letter and will review it.
