Dr. Darnell E. Cole, has been named president of Milwaukee Area Technical College. Cole is the former vice president of Indiana’s Ivy Tech System and chancellor of its Northwest region. Cole earned a bachelor’s from Ferris State University, a master’s from Central Michigan University and a doctorate from Michigan State University.
L. Victor Collins has been named associate dean of students at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Previously, Collins was director of multicultural student affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. Collins earned a bachelor’s from Defiance College of Ohio and a master’s from Western Michigan University.
Dr. Jerry Hardee will become the first African American to become president of one of the nation’s 16 chiropractic colleges when he takes the helm at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in South Carolina. Previously, Hardee was vice president of academic affairs at Albany State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Clark Atlanta University, a master’s from Fisk and a doctorate from Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Jeanne Marsh Stahl, professor of psychology at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, recently received the American Psychological Association’s Robert S. Daniel Award for outstanding teaching. Stahl earned a bachelor’s in sociology from Indiana University and master’s and doctorate in physiological psychology from Georgia State University.
Dr. David W. Williams has been named director of the University of Connecticut at Hartford campus. Before this appointment, he was assistant vice president for institutional diversity at Central Michigan University. Williams earned a bachelor’s from Albany State University in Georgia, a master’s from Indiana State University and a doctorate from Ohio State University.
David L. Womack is the new associate vice president for student affairs/dean of students at Barat College of DePaul University in Illinois. He previously was the dean of student affairs at Mount St. Clare College in Iowa. Womack earned a bachelor’s in management science from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania and a master’s in counseling higher education from Western Maryland College.
