DR. KENNETH BOUTTE is program offi cer in the Division of Human Resource Development, Directorate for Education and Human Resources of the National Science Foundation. Boutte serves as a professor of biology and dean of freshman studies at Xavier University of Louisiana. Boutte holds a bachelor’s from Xavier University of Louisiana and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.
DR. CAROLYN M. CALLAHAN was named the KPMG Professor at the University of Memphis. Callahan is director of the School of Accountancy at the University of Memphis. She earned a bachelor’s from Ohio Northern University, a master’s from Bowling Green State University and a doctorate from Michigan State University.
DR. JAMES EWERS JR. Is vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Edward Waters College (Fla.)
Most recently, Ewers served as associate dean of student affairs and director of community partnerships at Miami University Middletown (Ohio). He holds a bachelor’s from Johnson C. Smith University, a master’s from Catholic University and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
DR. CHERYL RENEE GOOCH is dean of the School of Humanities and Fine Arts at Gainesville State College (Ga.). Gooch was associate dean of communication arts at Clark Atlanta University. She earned a bachelor’s from Howard University, a master’s from Northwestern University and a doctorate from Florida State University.
DR. JODY HIRONAKA-JUTEAU is associate dean for the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Fresno. Hironaka-Juteau also chairs the Department of Recreation Administration at the university. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s from California State University, Fresno and a doctorate from Fielding Graduate University.
ALISA JONES has been appointed director of Continuing Education Services for Tarrant County College South Campus (Texas). She previously served as assistant dean of Continuing Education at Richland College. Jones earned a bachelor’s from East Texas State University and a master’s from Texas A&M University- Commerce.
DR. ROBERT RUEDA will hold the Stephen
H. Crocker Professorship in Education at the University of Southern California.
He serves as a professor of psychology in education at the school. Rueda earned a bachelor’s from University of California, Los Angeles, a master’s from USC and a doctorate from UCLA.
DR. SURESH TIWARI has been appointed vice president of academic and student affairs at Central Lakes College, Brainerd (Minn.) Tiwari previously served as the dean of arts and sciences at Greenville Technical College. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s from Indore University (India) and a doctorate from the Australian National University.
FRANK H. WU has been appointed chancellor and dean of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Wu was a professor of law at Howard University and previously served as dean of Wayne State University Law School.
He earned his bachelor’s from The Johns Hopkins University and juris doctorate from the University of Michigan.
