She is currently principal of Brescia University College in Ontario. Hanycz earned a bachelor’s from the University of Toronto, a bachelor’s from Dalhousie University and a master’s and a doctorate from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.

RANGITA DE SILVA DE ALWIS has been appointed associate dean of international affairs for the School of Law at the University of Pennsylvania. She was director of the Women in Public Service Project and the Global Women’s Leadership Initiative at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. De Silva de Alwis earned a bachelor’s from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka, and a master’s and a doctorate from Harvard Law School.

REV. EDWARD L. WHEELER has been named president of the Interdenominational Theological Center, effective in April. He is a former president of the Christian Theological Seminary. Wheeler earned a bachelor’s from Morehouse College, a master’s from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School and a doctorate from Emory University.

Cass Cliatt was appointed vice president for communication at Brown University. She has been serving as vicepresident for communication at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She will begin her new job on April 1. Cliatt earned a bachelor’s from Princeton University and a master’s from Northwestern University.

Hundreds of Brown University students silently marched across campus Wednesday to protest the college’s handling of recent sexual assault allegations, saying the school is trying to protect its reputation rather than the victims of assault.
