A $2.5 million Title V grant was awarded to Notre Dame de Namur University in California to support programs for Latinx, transfer and first-generation-to-college students, according to university officials.
The U.S. Department of Education grant will be dispersed over a course of five years to fund the college’s STARS (Success in Transfer and Retention for Students) initiative. STARS’ focus is to boost student success and graduation while supporting the Hispanic Community College to university pathway for students.
