TSU Makes ‘Most Wired’ List for Second Year

TSU Makes ‘Most Wired’ List for Second Year

For the second consecutive year, Tennessee State University garnered a spot on the Yahoo! Internet Life’s top 100 “Most Wired Colleges” list. Last year, the Nashville, Tenn.-based campus, along with Hampton University and Morehouse College, became the first historically Black colleges to win places on the Most Wired lists.
This year, Tennessee State is the only historically Black institution to have the distinction of being a top 100 Most Wired school on the large college/university list of the annual survey. The survey, which is in its fifth year, has also published a small college listing of the “Most Wired Colleges” in addition to the large colleges/universities list. As of mid-October, Yahoo! Internet Life had yet to publish its top 100 small college list.
This year, Tennessee State jumped in rankings from the 55th Most Wired school to the 27th place. The survey gave “A” grades to TSU in three of six categories. TSU received top distinctions in student resources, tech support and e-learning. Other categories of evaluation included infrastructure, wireless and Web portal.
