Glenn C. Best has been appointed vice president for institutional development at Texas College in Tyler, Texas. Best previously worked as a consultant for Global Business Enterprises. He earned a bachelor’s from Saint Paul’s College.

Dr. Jaquator Hamer is the new director of retention and transition services at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. Previously, Hamer served as director of multicultural student services at Bradley University. Hamer earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mississippi State University and a doctorate from the University of Arkansas.
Dr. S. Keith Hargrove has been appointed as the new chairman of the industrial, manufacturing and information engineering department at Morgan State University in Baltimore. Hargrove earned a bachelor’s from Tennessee State University, a master’s from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a doctorate from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Toni-Marie Montgomery has been named dean of the school of music at Northwestern University in Illinois. Montgomery, an accomplished pianist, previously was dean of the school of fine arts at the University of Kansas. She earned a bachelor’s from the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Michigan.
Dr. John F. “Skip” Williams has been appointed to the newly reinstated position of university provost at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington. Williams earned a bachelor’s from Boston College, a master’s from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a master’s from Yale University, and a doctorate and medical degree both from GWU.
