LYNN PERRY WOOTEN has been named Simmons University’s first African American president. Most recently the David J. Nolan Dean and professor at Cornell University’s Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Wooten holds a bachelor’s from North Carolina A&T State University, a master’s in business administration from Duke University and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
