RICHARD YAO has been named interim president at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). Currently CSUCI’s vice president for student affairs, Yao, a Chinese Filipino American, is the first person of color to lead the campus. A licensed clinical psychologist, Yao previously served as a senior lecturer in psychology at Nevada State College and was the first dean of students at Nevada State.
