Police at UVM, 3 communities recording race

Police at the University of Vermont and at three communities are recording the race of drivers during traffic stops.

According to the Burlington Free Press, the data collection project, also in Burlington, South Burlington and Winooski, follows through on a pledge made in 2007 at a community forum by Chittenden County law enforcement to pursue allegations of racial profiling brought by members of the community.
