Stout, president and CEO of Achieving the Dream (ATD) has been inducted into the newly created American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Hall of Fame. Stout was presented with the 2022 Leadership Award at the AACC conference this weekend in New York City.

ATD is a network of over 300 community colleges committed to transforming themselves into equitable places for all students, particularly those from minoritized or impoverished populations.

“For years, my work as president of Achieving the Dream and as a former community college leader has been in pursuit of a more equitable future where our institutions act as engines of social and economic mobility for our nation’s learners,” said Stout. “It is a great honor to be included among college leaders who, like hundreds of ATD Network leaders and educators, have worked tirelessly to move us collectively toward that future.”
