$50 Million Commitment Fuels Detroit Cradle-Career Partnership

A $50 million commitment from the Kresge Foundation is propelling an all new cradle-to-career education collaborative that will benefit some 1,000 students in a Detroit neighborhood.

Beginning in 2019, the P-20 Partnership will benefit children in Livernoise-McNichols, a Detroit district undergoing revitalization.

The foundation collaborated with the University of Michigan, Detroit Public Schools Community District, Starfish Family Services, Marygrove College and other Northwest Detroit organizations for the project.

The $50 million is the largest philanthropic investment in a Detroit neighborhood in history, according to the Foundation.
