Rutgers University at Camden’s Chancellor Phoebe A. Haddon was named chair of the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
As chancellor, Haddon has advocated for more affordable college access for working class families in New Jersey through the Bridging the Gap program. She has received a number of accolades including the 2019 Ruth Bader Ginsburg Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of American Law Schools and the 2019 Smith College Medal.
Additionally, she is currently a member of the American Bar Association’s Commission on the Future of Legal Services and on the ABA’s Kutak Award Committee.
Haddon earned her bachelor’s degree from Smith College, a J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and an LL.M. from Yale Law School.
In her upcoming two-year role, Haddon will lead a board of nine members.
