Dr. Curtis D. Byrd has been named the Special Adviser to the Provost at Georgia State University.
An expert on diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education, Byrd most recently served as research associate and consultant for the HBCU STEM Undergraduate Success Center at Morehouse College.
He has also held other administrative posts, including Assistant Dean of Graduate Enrollment at Clark Atlanta University, Director of Special Programs and Associate Director of the McNair Scholars program at University of Florida and Director of the McNair Scholars program at Georgia State.
A two time graduate of Iowa State University, Byrd earned his doctorate in Adult Leadership Education at the University of Georgia.
