Late English Professor Gifts University $350,000 for Student Scholarship Endowment

Linda Hill, an English professor at Claflin University who died April 2019, has left $350,000 to the school, CNN reported.

Hill taught at the South Carolina university for 46 years. Her gift – the largest ever from any current or former Clafin staff – for a student scholarship fund.

Clafin will also name its writing center after Hill, who was known for helping students improve writing skills.
