Dr. Benjamin Ola. Akande, Champlain College president, has announced his resignation, less than a year into his tenure, Burlington Free Press reported.
Dr. Benjamin Ola. AkandeAkande started as president July 1, 2020 and is scheduled to step down later this month.
Before his position at Champlain, Akande held an administrative role at Washington University in St. Louis.
Akande will return to St. Louis assuming a “leadership role at one of the nation’s largest investment banking and financial services firms,” according to a Champlain news release.
Former Champlain President Dave Finney has been selected interim president, effective June 1.
