Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation supporting educational equity and access, is requesting proposals totaling more than $5 million for improving racial justice and equity, growing community college enrollments, and supporting nonpartisan state polices that strengthen education levels in communities of color.
"Lumina's strategic objectives demand that we put the pursuit of racial justice at the center of everything we do," said Jamie Merisotis, Lumina's president and CEO. "We aim to identify organizations that can help the nation create a fair and just learning system after high school."
Lumina launched three competitive grant processes for the Racial Justice and Equity Fund, Prioritizing Adult Community College Enrollment, and State Policy Partnerships.
