Mark Weatherspoon

Dr. Mark WeatherspoonMark Weatherspoon has been appointed Dean of the University’s College of Science, Engineering, and Technology (COSET) at Texas Southern University.

Weatherspoon joins TSU from the joint Florida A&M University-Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) College of Engineering (COE) where he has served as a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). He brings over 10 years of experience in various administrative roles in higher education, including serving as the inaugural Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Academic Innovation, ECE Associate Department Chair, and ECE Director of Undergraduate Programs all at the FAMU-FSU COE.

Weatherspoon received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering (EE) at the FAMU-FSU COE via Florida State University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
