Judge refuses to dismiss media suit against NCAA

The NCAA failed on Thursday to stop a media lawsuit seeking access to documents on an academic cheating scandal at Florida State University under state public records laws.  According to the Florida AP, Circuit Judge John C. Cooper rejected the NCAA’s motions to dismiss the case and for a summary judgment. He also turned down motions from The Associated Press and other media for a partial summary judgment in favor of releasing the documents.
