The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) convened leading higher education thought leaders on campus earlier this week for its fourth annual State of Diversity summit.
Hosted by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, this year's event provided historical and key data, reporting and updates on initiatives and efforts designed to inform, equip, and engage the campus community on diversity-related trends and issues at the university.
"Something special is happening at Nebraska," said Dr. Marco Baker, Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion and associate professor of practice in education administration at UNL.
Dr. Antonio Flores, President & CEO of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities joined Dr. Lynn Pasquerella, President of American Association of Colleges and Universities and Carrie Billy, President & CEO of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium in a panel discussion that examined national and emerging issues in higher education among marginalized and underrepresented communities. Dr. Jamal Watson moderated the discussion.
